General information, not legal advice
Check whether the complaint was received
Find the original message, delivery confirmation or reference number. If there is no acknowledgement, resend a short summary through the nominated reporting channel and ask for confirmation.
Ask focused follow-up questions
- Who is responsible for the next action?
- Is an inspection, response or decision pending?
- What information is still needed?
- When should the next update be expected?
- What is the correct escalation contact if there is no response?
Preserve evidence
Keep a dated chronology, photos, notices and relevant replies. For recurring issues, record each event consistently. Evidence should be factual and proportionate to the issue.
Queensland context and escalation
Do not assume that silence automatically proves a breach or creates a particular legal remedy. Check Queensland Government information and the scheme documents, and obtain qualified advice where the matter is serious or disputed.
How MyComplex helps
A complaint or issue record can show the original report, assigned owner, due status, updates and closure evidence, making it easier to identify where a matter has stalled.
